Building Rapport Profile Assesment – CSW

Strong working relationships are the foundation of community support work. People are more likely to share what they need, accept help, and take part in their own goals when they feel heard, respected, and safe with the person supporting them. This course introduces eight practical rapport-building strategies: active listening, finding commonality, open body language, subtle mirroring, remembering names and details, asking better questions, appropriate vulnerability, and genuine curiosity. It also covers the pitfalls that can undermine trust, such as faking empathy, talking too much, blurred boundaries, and burnout.
